有關明愷興業明愷興業有限公司成立於1985年，在合成顏料的領域裡擁有純熟與豐富的專業技術，總經理李明聰先生是50年代在台灣少數擁有合成顏料技術工程師之一，亦是多家顏料工廠的幕後推手。
公司成立初期以開發、製造塑膠色母、印花布用色漿、粉筆色漿為主，有鑒於全球對環境保護的新思維，本公司對環保問題相當重視，不斷的技術改善及自我提升，現期產品均以環保原料為主要成分，環保粉筆、環保粉蠟筆、環保壓克力水彩、通用級塑膠色母，無重金屬之仿氧化鉻綠顏料，同時也獨家研發出環保粉筆自動化生產機械。

King Pigment Industry, founded in 1985, is known for its expertise and experience in synthetic pigments. CEO Li Ming-Tsung has been in the industry since the 1960s and is one of the most senior engineers in this field in Taiwan. Before King Pigment Industry, he worked in various pigment factories.
King Pigment Industry started as a producer of plastic colour master-batches, colour pastes for print fabrics and colour pastes for coloured pens. In response to the rising concern over the environment, the company has been improving technologies and adopting environmentally friendly materials for the production of coloured pens, crayons, acrylic colour paints, generic colour master batches, and “chromium oxide” green pigments without heavy metal contents. In addition, King Pigment Industry has developed automated equipment for the manufacturing of environmental friendly chalks.
